Each of the unit activities within ESL/CivicsLink is designed to help teachers increase their knowledge and skills for teaching adult ESL students. Through engaging, web-based activities, teachers work toward their goal of professional development.

Try a sample from the ESL/CivicsLink unit "Using the Internet in the Classroom." This sample unit will give you a chance to see a good part of the unit, with access to the introduction, an activity on evaluating web sites, the second of two projects (Exploring webquests), and the review.

While you won't be able to participate in the ESL/CivicsLInk community discussion or message centers, or save any of your work to a portfolio, you will get some valuable information on evaluating web sites, and you'll get a sense of the depth of content you'll find throughout ESL/CivicsLink.
